Looking for your next stay on Vancouver Island? Look no furthur, in this blog I have added and listed all the AirBNB's I have personally stayed at and enjoyed myself. If you haven't caught on by now, I love a good soak with my stay. I have linked everything for you for easy access for booking and or inquiries. AirBNB is a unique way to book a stay with several different hosts around the world. Sometimes it's a better bang for your buck versus hotels. I've stayed at quite a few and always had a very positive experience. This is in no way linked or affliated with AirBNB, just me giving you my personal thoughts to help book your future stay!
Cody and I stayed here and booked the "Romantic Cove Room with Private Hot Tub." It has changed since we've been, it now has a hard top hot tub instead of a soft tub. Bonus for you! This is a beautiful place and has different rooms to choose from. This one has ocean view and is perfect for a two night stay. I believe you can only book two nights, it has a community breakfast area but doesn't have a stove. The hosts were nice and heated a frozen pizza up for us as we didn't realize this. You will have to go out for most meals, I think there's only a hot plate. Great place, lovely hosts as well.
During our recent trip to Crofton which you can find linked here, we stayed at Margie's AirBNB, which is located right near the SaltSpring ferry. This place has a beautiful kitchen and private hot tub outside which you can see the ocean from. It is covered too which is nice. It is close to all the hiking trails we wanted to go to as well.
A tiny home experience, this was a super unique stay. I wouldn't recommend an entire family going here as it's tight quarters however a family of three or a few girlfriends or guys would be fine. Situated in a cove on the ocean this tiny home has amazing views, which has a hot tub right on the patio and a perfect area for outside dining in the summer. It's fully equipped as well inside. Highly recommend this one if your wanting to stay on Quadra Island.
POWELL RIVER BC, HENRIETTA'S HAVEN
This is such a stunning place to rent, we had such a wonderful time here and Henrietta is an amazing host. She really thought of everything for this place. The hot tub obviously you know me, I love a good tub view and this provides a perfect view of the ocean to some of the Gulf Islands. We even had a little fire down by the ocean, she has an amazing set up for one below on the property. This AirBNB is fully equipped as well.
This B&B has two private cabins on the property and the breakfast is amazing, they also can customize your stay with champagne, roses, chocolates and or etc by request for a special event. Both have two person hot tubs. We stayed in’the "Garden View Suite." I would recommend staying at the other one which is called "Superior King Suite." This is the one I originally thought I booked as it looks a bit more private, which it is as it's a little further from the hosts house. The garden suite is still really private it's just closer to the home as the cabin itself is infront of the main home. Both cabins are really nicely decorated too! The hosts were absolutely amazing and so friendly.
This was a unique stay, as the stairway is open concept and you are sharing the space with the hosts. It’s actually pretty private and we didn’t hear them really from our kids and music. The saltwater hot tub was amazing, the view was spectacular as you are on top of a mountain. There’s not a kitchen but a big hot plate and we were able to cook most things.
NANAIMO BC, THE BAYVIEW RENTAL
We stayed here for my twin sister and I's 30th birthday. Being that she lives in Port Alberni, we really wanted to do a mini staycation in Nanaimo. There is a full kitchen, a two story loft with a queen size bed (which is super comfortable.) heated tile in the bathroom and the best part is the patio area with the 2-3 person hot tub. This little area is more designed for a quiet couple or girls get away. Being that the hosts are living in the house as well, you do have to be pretty mindful. The hosts are really great and thought of everything for this luxurious space. I 100% recommend this cozy spot to anyone. It's only a few minutes from Departure Bay Beach.
GABRIOLA ISLAND,BC Tamaryn Cottage
Right close to our home in Nanaimo. The ferry ride over is 20 minutes and you can get on the Gabriola Ferry Terminal in Nanaimo near Port Place Mall. Amazing amenities such as three bedrooms which accommodates kids, one room has a crib and other has a bunk bed - third with a queen. Propane fire pit outside near the hot tub and the deck has ocean view, which was lovely sitting out with a nice hot drink in the winter. The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you could need and more. The fireplace inside was a nice touch and added a cozy environment. The property is large and has a tire swing in the front yard, it's nearby a ton of hiking trails and Drumbeg Park & Silva Bay.
Our most recent stay with AirBNB, is situated right near Westwood Lake in Nanaimo. It's in the Westwood Lake Campground. Sarah our host was super accommodating and answered any questions we had right away. The tiny home experience offers a loft bed that has a super comfortable bed, a kitchen with two hot plates, a shower, a dining/lounge area and an outdoor patio with a fire pit. This is a perfect place to stay with a friend or partner and has several hiking and biking trails nearby as well as the lake. I 100% recommend this one if you are in need of a place to stay in Nanaimo.
