Lillooet Lulu Lookout

(Last updated October 12th 2022.)

This lookout is an iconic spot and one you won't want to miss if you're in the area. It's a short 1.3 KM loop and about a 5-10 minute walk depending on your level of fitness. You will gain 69m approx. Either way it's short and worth the stop.

This trail starts off easy and does get a little steep, so please be careful and be smart about footings and as always please respect Leave No Trace. Pack out what you pack in.

The town of Lillooet is on the west shore of the Fraser River and while it is a small population sitting around 2300, it's a quiet beautiful place. One of the most popular and iconic spot is right nearby the picturesque Lululemon bend, perhaps you might ask why it's called this. I'm sure it's got it's name from the way the road is shaped and matches perfectly to the brand's Lululemon symbol, a horseshoe or known as Seton Lake lookout.

The hairpin bend is on the Sea to Sky Highway and I will show you on the map exactly where it is below. See the big pullout that is where you park! If you type this onto any map on your phone it'll take you right there. Just be sure to download for offline use.

If you are coming from Whistler you will park on the left, if you are coming from the town of Lillooet it'll be on your right to park. The other side depending on where you are coming from will be the trailhead to the lookout. (See other pin above on the hill.) So if you're coming from Whistler it'll be on the right leading into some trees. You will have to cross the highway so be careful. The trailhead is shown below.

The walk is nice and short and you will pass a bench on the left with a little lookout here, keep going and you will start to see a hill in the near distance. Head up here and you will come to an obvious little trail now in the trees at the fork keep left. The lookout will be the furthest and most obvious, it has a little ridge leading to the top. It's steep here and loose dirt depending on the time of year you go. There's a few different spots you could go to but the one directly facing the bend is the one that's the furthest away and quite obvious that you can't go any further once your there.

You will see a rock that fits a person perfectly to pose on and take photos or the tree to lean against. Either way this spot is perfect for that artsy Instagram shot. We went at sunset and the colours were just amazing, Seton Lake is so stunning in the back with how blue it is.

Here is a AllTrails Map for reference as well, so you won't miss it. Make sure to download for offline use as you most likely will not have service here. Click here - I hope you add this to your road trip list of stops to make. It's so pretty and bonus if you get it alone like we did! Enjoy. xx
